3rd Space Handed Chinese Central Television Mobile Brief

3rd Space Services has entered into an exclusive mobile advertising agreement with the Mobile Division of Chinese Central Television (CCTV) to manage the introduction and ongoing delivery of advertising within the CCTV mobile WAP portal.

CCTV, the Chinese State broadcaster and one of the most valued and recognisable brands in China, is the principal distribution point for broadcast media content such as news and sport across TV, the internet and mobile. Currently CCTV attracts some 850,000 unique visitors per day to its free-to-view mobile portal; a figure that is forecast to grow to more than 25m daily visitors with the launch of Asian Games and Western video channels to the growing generations of affluent smartphone consumers in China.

3rd Space is currently installing its content management systems and ad-serving platforms within the CCTV network. It is also upgrading CCTV’s mobile portal design in anticipation of a full commercial rebranding and relaunch in September 2010.

The new mobile portal will support a full range of advertising inventory opportunities, from simple banner placement and interactive mobile micro-sites with data capture through to video pre-roll and sponsorship campaigns. 3rd Space is inviting interested brands and agencies to get in touch to discuss the opportunities to generate brand presence and awareness alongside CCTV.
