7m Apple Watches Shipped Since Launch

Apple-Watches.pngApple has shipped nearly 7m units of the Apple Watch since its launch in April, according to a Canalys report.

The company is dominating the smart watch market, the only vendor to ship more than 300,000 units during than Q3.

“After experiencing significant supply chain constraints early on, Apple managed to overcome its production struggles with the Apple Watch and is building momentum going into Q4,” said Canalys analyst Daniel Matte.

The Watchs nearest competition in the quarter was Pebble, which shipped over 200,000 devices off the back of the launch of the Pebble Time Steel.

As ever, its worth noting that shipments are not equal to customer sales, but represent the number of units sent to retailers. That could change in Q4, as established watch brands Fossil and Tag Heuer launching their first smart watches.
