Amplitude Lands $15m Funding Round

Amplitude logoMobile and web analytics platform Amplitude has raised $15m (£10.3m) in a Series B investment round.

The round was led by Battery Ventures, along with existing investors Benchmark, Data Collective, Merus Capital and Quest Venture Partners, and will see Neeraj Agrawal, general partner at Battery, join Amplitudes board of directors.

“With billions of smartphones in use around the world, mobile has emerged as the leading way to access information and services. Amplitude was an early pioneer in recognizing not only the importance of mobile but also the crucial role that analytics would play in helping companies achieve sustained growth,” said Agrawal.

Amplitude says it will use the funding to hire key talent, expand sales and marketing, and fuel product development of its platform.

The latest round brings Amplitudes funding total to $26m since the company was founded in 2012.

Alongside the funding announcement, Amplitude launched Pathfinder, an analytics tool that illustrates how users navigate through an app or site to work out how exactly how they converted.
