Stats Deliver Top Engagement Levels for Top Gear Game

Predictive analytics firm GamesAnalytics has struck a deal with BBC Worldwide to support the mobile release of Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution.

Now available on iOS, with an Android version due soon, the free game is fully integrated with GamesAnalytics’ technology platform, Predict.

Working directly with BBC Worldwide’s Digital Entertainment & Games business and developer, Supersonic Software, GamesAnalytics has provided analytics services during the title’s beta and pre-launch stages.

Deep-dive analytics identified individual experiences for different player types, enabling the optimisation of the game design in order to improve player engagement. Changes to upgrades and a mission’s difficulty curve as a direct result of the analytics findings increased the game’s user retention by 95 per cent, the company says.

GamesAnalytics will now provide predictive modelling for Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution and deploy Predict’s in-game messaging tools to deliver multilingual campaigns that maximise game monetization and player retention.

“We are delighted to be working with BBC Worldwide on the first fully integrated mobile implementation of our platform offering real-time predictive analytics and in-game messaging,” says GamesAnalytics’ CEO and co-founder, Chris Wright. “Analytics to date on Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution clearly demonstrates the power of using analytics during the early stages of development.”
