Appitalism.com Makes Its Debut

Appitalism has launched its app store at appitalism.com. The store combines a social community with an online store where consumers can “discover, discuss and download” the best digital content for all devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and eBook readers.

The site debuts with a catalogue of more than 10m premium apps, games, music and books. It includes games for featurephone platforms such as Java and Symbian, smartphones such as Android, Apple and BlackBerry, and social network games from Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

The company says the site offers an unbiased and personalized experience for members, based on their interests and on feedback from the wider community. AS chat feature enables members to discuss, rate and review all content on the site. Members can discover new content via the site’s search engine, category directory, or community recommendations.

“Appitalism is an open marketplace, combining a large variety of content with the ability for consumers to discuss, review and rate that content,” says CEO, Simon Buckingham. “Our store is programmed by members for members and powered by conversations, not algorithms.”

Appitalism is free to join and active members who write reviews and continually engage with the site are rewarded with titles and badges and ‘App Rewards’. These can be redeemed for any items in the Appitalism content catalogue.
