Apple Adds Gift Option for iBooks

Apple has added the option to buy digital books as gifts for your loved ones just in time for Christmas.
The iBookstore now falls in line with with iTunes and the App Store, enabling desktop and mobile users to buy an ebook for someone else as a present. 
The change was spotted by Mac World, which notes that, like Apple’s other sales channels, gifts are limited to people within the same country.
