Christensen: “We intend to make 2016…the year that AppNexus emerges as the leading monetization engine for online publishers”

Ad tech firm AppNexus has announced signed deals in the second half of 2015 with over 50 new publisher partners, including Axel Springer, Foursquare, Groupon, Hearst, and NASDAQ. The announcement follows closely on the heels of the company’s launch in early November of the AppNexus Publisher Suite, a major expansion of its global technology partnership with Microsoft.

“In 2015, AppNexus launched the industry’s only full-stack alternative to Google’s publisher product suite and established technology partnerships with some of the world’s preeminent digital content producers,” said Ryan Christensen, SVP & GM of the AppNexus Publisher Technology Group. “We intend to make 2016 a historic inflection point – the year that AppNexus emerges as the leading monetization engine for online publishers.”

Spend on AppNexus SSP publisher clients has grown tenfold in the past year, which the company said is a result of major investments in technology and talent. The AppNexus Publisher Suite offers customers access to demand via an open exchange; Open Dynamic Allocation across real-time bidding, deals, automated guaranteed, header bidding, and mediation; complete cross-channel visibility through the Yieldex forecasting and analytics tool; and AppNexus’ buy-side capabilities for audience extension with a 100 per cent cookie match, margin controls, and reporting.
