Average UK Mobile Shopper Spent 21 Minutes on Retail Sites in July

mCommerce Online Shopping Trolley Retail55 per cent of smartphone users in the UK visited a retailers mobile site or app from their device in July 2014, according to data from GfK.

Users visited an average of four retail sites during the month, totalling a browsing time of 20.7 minutes over the period, while apps were used far less frequently.

Fashion was the leading sub-vertical, with 29 per cent of the smartphone retail audience accessing a retail site or app during the period. When it came to the users average time spent on mobile sites, fashion accounted for the entire top 10 – a list topped by JD Williams (18.4 minutes), Littlewoods and Everything 5 Pounds (16.8 minutes each).
