Award Winners’ Spotlight: Most Effective CRM Campaign

Page 17 Subway SubcardThe deadline for the 2015 Effective Mobile Marketing Awards, sponsored by Theorem, is now less than three weeks away, and the Early Bird deadline (to avoid a Late Entry fee), is just two days away – midnight UK time this Friday, 24 July.

As the deadline approaches, we are turning the spotlight on one of last year’s winners each week, looking at what gave the winning entry the edge over the competition. This week, our focus is on the Most Effective CRM Campaign, which was won by Subway, and its mobile agency partner, CHS Creative and Altaine.

The campaign involved creating a new version of the SUBCARD app, designed to increase customer engagement with the company’s loyalty programme of the same name. Through the app, SUBWAY customers in the UK, Ireland and Germany can collect and redeem points, claim free Subs, check their balance and available rewards and find nearby stores. They can also access exclusive offers and submit feedback about their experience in store via the ‘TellSUBWAY’ feature.

The app was extremely well received by SUBWAY customers, with 1.2m downloads at the time the entry was submitted, positive reviews in the app stores, and a 32 per cent increase in TellSUBWAY Survey completions. App users also visit stores three times more frequently than plastic loyalty card holders, and also have a higher average order value.

The final deadline for this year’s Awards is less than three weeks away, but to avoid a late-entry fee, you should aim to get your entries in before the Early Bird deadline of 24 July if you can. The Awards, which are now in their sixth year, recognise excellence in mobile marketing across 36 categories, and attracted more than 200 entries each year.

This year sees several new categories added, including Most Effective Smartwatch App, Most Accessible App, and Most Effective Publisher Offering. In addition to the 36 standard categories, there’s also a Grand Prix Award for the best entry overall, and our four People’s Choice Awards, with the shortlist drawn up by a panel of industry experts and the winners chosen by a public vote. The People’s Choice categories and shortlist will be announced in the weeks to come.

The Awards Ceremony will take place on 26 November in London. For more information and details on how to enter the Awards, head for the Awards website.
