This afternoon sees the final of our Barca Starta competition in Barcelona. Almost 50 entries have been whittled down to 26 finalists, who will each pitch for two minutes each to a judging panel made up of Sienne Veit, head of mobile at Morrisons; Michael Bayle, senior vice president and GM, Mobile, at ESPN; John Occhipinti, a partner at VC firm, Relay Ventures; and Mobile Marketing editor, David Murphy.
The 26 finalists, in the order in which they will present, are: Web Crumbz, Qriously, Appscend, MPme, 24-7XS, Speaking Pal, Nexmo, Tellyo, Warply, Adgibbon, mCash, Taggzy, Appnique, Touchalize, Digital Giving, Stuffle, BIG Launcher, FishBrain, Open Signal, Appsnack, iMediaShare, BroadForward, Rednote, Mobisit, Mobinlife, and LoopMe.
The winning company will receive €1000 in cash, €5,000 worth of advertising on mobilemarketingmagazine.com and in our print edition, plus a video interview which will appear on the website. We’ll have the results of the competition for you later today.
