Betfair Introduces Betting via Instagram

Instaboom betfairOnline bookmakers Betfair has introduced a way for Instagram users to place bets through the popular photo sharing app, using hashtag tracking to encourage users to bet on this weeks Cheltenham Festival.

By including the hashtag #InstaBOOM within the caption of photos of horses racing at Cheltenham over the course of the week, users will be given the chance to back the horse of their choice with a free £5 bet in all races.

“Were always looking for innovative ways to make placing a bet as simple as possible for our customers and Cheltenham is the perfect place to launch this offering,” said Harry Phillips, a spokesperson for Betfair. “With so many incredible horses running, those people capturing them for Instagram can now also simultaneously back them by using the #InstaBOOM.”
