mCommerce platform Branding Brand has acquired Waysay, a conversational commerce firm which specialises in push and in-app notifications, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition – Branding Brands first – aims to extend the companys omnichannel offering to retailers, adding in-app messaging, customer engagement tools, and marketing automation technology.

Under the deal, Waysays employees will join its parents companys product team, and Branding Brand will open its third office, in Indianapolis, with a London office set to follow later this year.

Waysay was founded in May 2015, and has received funding from TPC Investments, ExactTarget co-founder Peter McCormick and former Salesforce EVP Todd Richardson.
