Call Trunk Introduces Dropbox and Skype Integration

Call Trunk, provider of a cloud-powered call recording service, has rolled out two new services to give users access to recordings of their calls, incorporating Dropbox globally and introducing Skype functionality to the US. Calls made with the service can be synchronised with their Dropbox account, and accessed via mobile devices, landlines or Skype.

With its free beta service for US Skype users, following a trial in the UK last month, Call Trunk is enabling users to capture Skype voice conversations and store them in the cloud. By adding the Call Trunk Robot to their Skype contact list, and including it as a caller, users can record any conversations they wish. The service is free to use until January 31 2012, and will subsequently cost $5 per month.

Paul Murphy, co-founder of Call Trunk, says: “In the past, only large organizations could afford sophisticated call recording technology. Today, the launch of our Dropbox integration and US Skype service are two more steps towards creating a more accessible and disruptive technology that will make the spoken word as tangible as written words, for all. It’s call recording for the 99 per cent.”
