CertiVox Aquires Shamus

CertiVox, a company specialising in data encryption for information exchanges across mobile devices and the cloud, has acquired Shamus Software, creator of the MIRACL cryptographic library, used to build highly secure number-theoretic cryptography; its users include Microsoft, Siemens and Samsung.

Brian Spector, CertiVox CEO, says: “In the age of the advanced persistent threat, end-to-end data encryption is a must have, and business and consumer users are now demanding it not just for email but for all things Internet. Simple, swift and secure information exchange starting from the point of creation and ending with the point of delivery is the only way to unleash the full promise of cloud computing, which in turn creates a level playing field in todays global marketplace and protects business and individual privacy.”
