CloudZync has introduced digital gift cards and mobile vouchers to its Zwallet mobile wallet app, through partnerships with InComm and MyVoucherCodes.co.uk.

When buying a gift card through the app, users will be rewarded with a small percentage of its value, credited to their Zwallet mobile wallet account. Meanwhile, the mobile vouchers will be added to the apps existing merchant offers, and are similarly targeted based on the users location.

“We want to help retailers grow by enabling them to have stronger relationships with their customers, as well as giving shoppers a connected wallet that makes their lives simpler,” said CloudZync co-founder and CTO Andrew Smith. “Smartphones give retailers an opportunity to engage potential customers with local deals and offers while they’re shopping on the high street, as well as taking the pain out of carrying a physical gift card around and remembering to actually use it. For merchants, Zwallet provides a simpler and cheaper way to gift and deliver local offers, whether they are a UK-wide chain or an independent store.”

Zwallet, which first launched in July last year, is available on iOS and Windows Phone but, unusually, not Android.
