Citi Mobile Collect Launches in the Dominican Republic

Citi has announced the launch of its provider payment solution, Citi Mobile Collect, in the Dominican Republic.

The technology was exclusively introduced for Citi corporate clients in collaboration with Banco ADOPEM. The solution enables small businesses who are not part of the banking system to replace cash payments to providers that are Citi corporate clients with a mobile transaction.

“Citi Mobile Collect uses cutting-edge technology in an innovative way to address provider payment limitations that directly affect our corporate clients in the Dominican Republic,” said Máximo Vidal, GM of Citi Dominican Republic. “We are offering providers a more efficient way to receive payment from their distributors, even in communities with low levels of banking, allowing them to expand their market.”
