Facebook Releases iOS SDK 3.0

Facebook has released a beta version of The SDK can be used to create apps which integrate the user's Facebook loginThe SDK can be used to create apps which integrate the user's Facebook loginFacebook SDK 3.0 for iOS, which enables develops to create Facebook-integrated iOS apps. The update promises better user session management, improved support for Facebook API and Objective-C, and a range of pre-built user interface components for commonly-used functions.

“The new features make the SDK a natural extension of Apple’s iOS environment and make your development cycle more efficient by eliminating the need to develop and manage common tasks,” says Facebook engineer Jason Clark in a blog post.

The SDK is fully backwards compatible with previous releases, and will automatically integrate with iOS 6 when it becomes available.
