Formspring Launches On Russian Mobiles With WapStart
Question and answer-based social network Formspring has selected WapStart to help drive its mobile ad sales in Russia and Ukraine.
WapStart, which already connects some 12m users and places 1.7 ad requests per month, uses real-time bidding to place ads across its mobile networks.
"Formspring has 1.5m Russian and Ukrainian visitors," says Ade Olonoh, chief executive of Formspring. "The popularity of Formspring is growing very fast in Russia and it is important that we picked reliable partner who has successfully worked with other global companies in this region. The Russian mobile ad network WapStart has the experience and the advanced technology we wanted."
