Groupon Launches Groupon Payments

Daily deal giant Groupon has launched Groupon Payments, a mobile payments service platform linked to the Groupon Merchants app that will enable the company’s merchants to accept credit cards using a secure credit card reader that can be attached to a smartphone.  
The mobile payments platform is designed for Groupon merchants, and the company offers a guarantee of “the lowest possible rates” to participating merchants located in the US. The service is available for use by non-Groupon merchants at a higher rate.
"Our goal is to provide merchants with the most affordable and powerful tools to run and grow their businesses," said Mihir Shah, VP for Mobile and Merchant Products at Groupon. "With groundbreaking pricing and service, Groupon Payments does just that."
