Intersec and Alcatel Join Forces for Global Geo-Location Marketing

Intersec has signed a global deal with Alcatel-Lucent for the creation of a geo-located, opt-in marketing service to provide shoppers with relevant offers and drive footfall. Mobile operators will be able to connect brands and retailers with consumers using any mobile device based on their permission, preferences and location.

Intersec’s IGLOO collects real-time, anonymised network data, detecting opted-in subscribers who are in the area or nearby. Alcatel-Lucent then analyses the location data to provide relevant customers with walk-in rewards, location-based coupons and shopper surveys.

"With this collaboration and integration, we will be able to provide one of the most efficient location-based advertising solutions available for brands looking to communicate with their consumers via mobile devices,” said Yann Chevalier, Intersec CEO.
