LG sells 10m L-Series smartphones

LG's Optimus L-Series range of smartphones have broken 10m units sold worldwide.

In the statement announcing the milestone, LG took the opportunity to make a dig at its many rivals in the saturated smartphone market, saying that the sales are "proof that many consumers want attractive smartphones with distinctive - not 'me too' - styling".

“This milestone demonstrates the importance of delivering smartphones with stylish design, comparative size of display and enhanced UX features,” said LG CEO and president Jong-seok Park. “Our strategy is to develop mobile products for all types of customers according to their individual needs and lifestyles.”
