madvertise Appoints Christof Wittig As CEO

madvertise has appointed a new CEO, Christof Wittig, madvertise CEOChristof Wittig, as Carsten Frien steps down and joins the company’s board. Wittig has lived in Silicon Valley for the last decade and has already served as the CEO of three tech companies in the US and his native Germany, including the Kii Capital venture fund, Servo Software and db4objects, both of which he co-founded.

madvertise saw 130 per cent growth in 2012. The company says it has plans to expand into the US, emerging markets and East Asia.  “I am very happy,” said outgoing CEO Carsten Frien, “that we have been able to sign up a proven technology CEO with deep international experience to lead the next phase of growth for madvertise. I am looking forward to contribute to the future expansion of the company as a member of the Advisory Board and support Christof in his new role.”
