Marmalade updates to 6.1

Cross-platform app development tool Marmalade has released version 6.1 in beta. The update enables developers to target Windows and Mac OS X, across channels including Steam, Gamersgate and the Mac Store, as well as mobile platforms.

As part of the beta program, Marmalade is working with game studios HotGen and Nomad Games to showcase the new Windows and Mac support by porting HotGen's To-Fu and Spacelings games across to desktop, along with a PC game from Nomad.

“We’re very excited to be working with both Nomad Games and HotGen for the Marmalade 6.1 release," says Marmalade head of SDK Tony Waters. "Marmalade continues to be a winning solution for game developers large and small, and these partnerships are proof that platform choice and reach when you build with Marmalade are second to none.”
