A graph showing how sales have grown - and shrunk - on Android and iOS over the last yearA graph showing how sales have grown - and shrunk - on Android and iOS over the last yearMobile's share of eCommerce sales has dropped since the pre-Christmas shopping period, according to data from Affiliate WindowMobile dropped to 14 per cent of sales in January, down from 14.7 per cent in December.

However, mobile traffic continued to grow, with 19.6 per cent of online traffic coming from mobile devices, up from 19 per cent in December. That's an year-on-year increase of 120 per cent from last January.

This disparity points towards dropping conversion rates on mobile devices, down from 4.4 per cent in December to 3.4 per cent.

It's worth noting that all of those figures include tablets. Looking specifically at smartphones, sales saw less of a drop-off from December – falling by less than 0.1 per cent, to 5.7 per cent – while their share of traffic hit 11.3 per cent.
