Pitney Bowes Launches DIY mCommerce Site Platform
Pitney Bowes has launched pbSmart Mobile in Europe, a self-service platform which enables businesses to build their own transactional mobile sites.
Using pbSmart Mobile, which is priced on a monthly subscription basis, users can add shopping cart functionality to the mobile site, and integrate it with a PayPal account. The platform also includes analytics, with integrated geo-location technology, to track users' locations when they access the site.
“To help SMEs take advantage of the mobile opportunity, and really open up the market, pbSmart Mobile ensures that the whole customer journey is supported right through to paying for goods and services,” said Pitney Bowes' European vice president of digital channel & supplies Ryan Higginson. “Through PayPal, we’re able to provide SMEs with a mobile payments service that can be easily integrated with marketing initiatives. A new campaign can be launched within a day and it supports the entire m-commerce journey, so customers can pay on a mobile website to increase business sales.”
