Q2 Launch for Super-thin Sony Xperia Tablet Z

The Xperia Tablet Z, seen here with the Xperia Z smartphoneSony Mobile has announced at Mobile World Congress that its Xperia Tablet Z 10.1-inch water-resistant tablet will launch globally in Q2, 2013. Additionally, Sony's flagship smartphone, Xperia Z will roll out in stores worldwide from today.

The device is just 6.9mm thick and weighs just 495g. Available in black or white and in LTE and wi-fi versions, it is the first tablet to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro asynchronous quad core processor and has the highest levels of water resistance ever delivered in a tablet, making it immune to accidental spills and splashes.
