MobileNow! Enables Electric Car Drivers to Recharge on their Phones

SemaConnect, a firm specializing in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and station software, has partnered with MobileNow!, a mobile payment and digital permit solution provider, to introduce mobile payments for EV recharging stations.

To use the service, EV drivers must set up a Pay-By-Cell account with MobileNow!. Once that is done, they can charge their vehicles at any SemaConnect EV charging station in the country by simply scanning a QR code using a mobile device.

 “One of the biggest concerns of electric vehicle drivers is where to charge up and how to pay for it in a convenient way,” said Mahi Reddy, CEO and Founder of SemaConnect. “Because of this innovative partnership, electric vehicle drivers can charge their cars without the added concern about having a charging pass or having to use the credit card machine.”
