Shazam launches local tags on Windows Phone

Shazam has updated its Windows Phone 7 app, and taken the opportunity to extend unlimited tagging to the free version of its media recognition app for Windows Phone 7. 

The apps have also added a a 'Top Local Tags' feature, which enables users to see what the most popular tags are in individual cities or neighbourhoods. The feature will apparently be rolled out to other platforms shortly.

The update also brings improved social media sharing, using the Mango native API, and access to Shazam's national Tag Charts.
