Sony Press Start on Android Gaming Platform
Sony will launch its Android gaming platform, PlayStation Mobile, in the coming autumn.
The company plans to push new content and games from third-party developers onto the service. 85 developers from North America, Europe and Japan have already agreed to develop content.
The service will launch in nine countries initially, for Sony devices like the Xperia Play or Playstation Vita, but also PlayStation-approved Android devices.
The launch was announced at Gamescom, along with new features for the Android-based Vita handset, including the ability to be used as a controller for a PS3, and to interrupt a game to take a call.
