txtr beagle is no frills German answer to the e-reader

The txtr beagle has promised to shake up the e-reader market as the smallest and lightest to date. With a  5” screen, it is just 5mm think and weighs in at a barely there 128g.

It runs for about a year on two AAA batteries – no charger required - and books can be transferred from smartphones using bluetooth and the txtr beagle app. It has 4GB of memory and can stash up to five books for holiday reading.

The personalisable case might tempt people looking for something a bit different from Amazon's standard Kindle, although it doesn't come with touchscreen functionality.
