App developer Crayon’d has launched Prodkt, an app designed to solve the problem of keeping track of receipts and warranties for stuff we buy.

Prodkt provides a quick and easy way to record product information and track warranties, as well as receiving deals, and requesting service. The app currently covers almost 20,000 items across categories such as TV, refrigerator, tablet, washing machine etc., and Crayon says the list is growing rapidly. It also plans to automate or verify warranty claims with deeper integration with dealers in upcoming releases.

Through the app, users can add a new product in two steps, including purchase information such as the receipt or invoice and details of where the item was bought. They can also track warranty duration, receive warranty expiry notifications, find their nearest authorised service centre, and raise a service request. Beyond warranties, the app also enables users to read reviews about a product and post their own, and get personalised deals based on the stuff they have previously bought.

The app is available for Android now and is due out on iOS by the end of the month. You can download the Android app here.
