The service, which was initially launched in Tel Aviv, is a mobile app created for pubs, restaurants and other venues, that enables the consumer to use a smartphone for self check-out at participating locations.
The app does not require an embedded chip for payments. Consumers simply download the app, and once inside their venue of choice, do a pre-authorisation to validate payment details and start a tab. Customers may add items to their tab and close the tab using self check-out.
“We are excited to be working with MyCheck to help it provide another valuable service to the hospitality industry,” said DataCash president, Ajay Bhalla. “By using DataCash’s solutions, MyCheck can ensure that when the customer comes to pay, the process is completed quickly, efficiently and securely, which will in turn provide more efficient services for all parties involved.”
