eBay Enterprise to Digitise Boxparks Stores

PayPal POSShoreditch pop-up mall Boxpark is working with eBay Enterprise to offer a range of digital solutions for its indepedent retailers.

Boxparks inhabitants can now create an online and mobile commerce platform via the Boxpark Market Place, which is powered by eBay-owned Magento. They can also take mPOS payments on an iPad thanks to an integration with PayPal.

“Omnichannel solutions have been rolled out on the high street, but until now small independent retailers have been unable to offer costly omnichannel solutions,” said Roger Wade, CEO of Boxpark. “Boxpark allows small independents to have a sophisticated omnichannel solution with little or no set up costs. They just need an iPad or tablet and they are up and running.”

Boxpark doesnt charge its retail tenants rent, instead taking 20 per cent commission on sales made. Retailers get a 300 sq ft storefront, a £25,000 shop fit, access to the Boxpark app, events space and digital database, as well as the new Market Place and POS system.

The company says it will cost little to nothing to get their digital stores up and running.
