Endeca Takes B&H Mobile

B&H Photo Video, America’s largest non-chain photo and video equipment store, has deployed Endeca Mobile Commerce from search and business intelligence firm Endeca Technologies, to expand its brand, products, and services to the mobile channel via an iPhone app. The app leverages B&H’s existing backend commerce systems and product breadth to deliver a robust, consistent Endeca user experience to the mobile customer base.

Endeca Mobile Commerce provides one platform and toolset for B&H’s business managers to have total control over the user experience, changing content dynamically on its dotcom website and mobile environment simultaneously.

Additionally, B&H can create mobile-optimised user experiences with out-of-the-box Endeca Mobile Commerce components including pre-built templates, merchandising cartridges, and a store locator. With Endeca Mobile Commerce, customers are able to integrate with their existing backend commerce systems and website features, which has enavbled B&H to extend its eCommerce platform, shopping cart, rich product data, and PowerReviews user reviews into the mobile channel. Plans are now underway for an Android version of the app, which will also be controlled from the existing Endeca Mobile Commerce platform.
