First TransPennine Unveils Adaptive Site

First TransPennineFirst TransPennine has relaunched its website using adaptive design so desktop and mobile users are only shown the details most appropriate to them.

The adaptive site shows mobile browsers a limited number of the most frequently used site functions, including the GPS station finder. Social is (perhaps bravely) built in, with a deep link to the companys Twitter account clearly signposted throughout.

Mobile users aren’t able to buy tickets on the site at present and are instead directed to the companys non-optimised booking engine or to download the app. A spokesperson said mobile-optimised ticketing would go live on the site next year.
