Gaming Platform Playtech Posts Record Revenues

playtechOnline gaming platform company Playtech has posted record revenues for the first half of 2014, with growth of 21.2 per cent year-on-year.

The company, which saw €212.4m (£168.9m) in revenues between January and June, offers cutting-edge cross-platform solutions to the online gaming and gambling industries leading operators, supporting mobile apps including casino, poker, bingo, sports betting, live gaming, casual and fixed odds games.

Adjusted profit for the same period also grew for the company, rising 44.8 per cent to €96.8m, and the company is set to achieve additional growth in Q3 of 2014.

“Playtechs vision has allowed the company to cement its position as the worlds leading supplier of technology and services in the online gambling industry,” said Alan Jackson, non-executive chairman of Playtech. “During the first six months of the year, Playtech continued to improve the way it develops its products, while growing revenue to an all-time high and managing its cost base, to again deliver an outstanding set of interim results.

“Our strategy for future success concentrates on improving and diversifying the quality of earnings with an emphasis on opportunities in regulated and soon to be regulated markets.”
