Google to Launch Home Services Product for Booking Plumbers and Electricians

Google is reportedly working on a home services product to help find users find plumbers, electricians and the like in their local area.
According to BuzzFeed News, the product is set to be announced at a Google advertising conference later this spring.
It will be integrated into Googles existing search offering so that searches about relevant tasks will enable users to directly connect with local businesses that could help them out. Whether this means the product will include booking functionality, to let users pay for the services on their device, is currently unclear. 
The launch would put Google in direct competition with Amazon, which at the beginning of last week launched a Home Services site for booking small businesses to do repairs and home improvements.
