Grabyo Teams Up with La Liga for Exclusive Video Content

Grabyo LaLigaSocial video platform Grabyo has partnered with Spanish football league La Liga.

The league and a number of its clubs will use Grabyo’s technology to produce mobile-friendly video content, such as instant replays and behind-the-scenes footage, and distribute it to football fans around the world.

The two will also work together to evaluate the video opportunities on social platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, Sina Weibo and Line.

The partnership is intended to help La Liga reach audiences not only in traditional markets like Europe and South America but also new ones like China and the US.

“This strategic deal with Grabyo will dramatically enhance the experience we offer fans on digital platforms and use the clubs and players as distribution channels,” comments Ignacio Martinez Trujillo, managing director of innovation and global development at La Liga. “90 minutes of football just isn’t enough for fans anymore. Yes they want real-time highlights but they also want interviews, special features and a whole range of footage around match day.”
