HP Autonomy Launches Aurasma 3.0

TaylorHP Autonomy has launched Aurasma 3.0, the latest version of its AR platform, along with an updated Aurasma SDK.

3.0 introduces a cloud-based web portal for launching, managing and reporting on campaigns, along with a location-based targeted rules engine, and improved social integration with Facebook and Twitter.

“As consumers continue to embrace the new paradigm of visual search, augmented reality has become an integral part of mobile marketing, and many of our customers and agency partners are now on their fifth or sixth Aurasma–powered AR campaign,” said HP Aurasma general manager Annie Weinberger.

One of these repeat customers is Elizabeth Arden, which is partnering with Aurasma for the sixth time to promote its Taylor by Taylor Swift fragrance. By scanning the products packaging, as well as in-store POS, direct mail and print ads, users can access exclusive content.

Aurasma says it now has more than 40,000 customers, double the number it had six months ago.
