The Illinois Tollway has launched a mobile website for its I-PASS program, which enables drivers to use an electronic transponder to pay tolls in order to save time at the tollbooth.
Drivers can now access the I-PASS mobile site to view account balances, transponder usage, payment history and personal information. They can also add or update vehicles, license plate numbers, personal information, credit card details and activate new transponders.
“More than 80 per cent of our customers manage their I-PASS accounts online, so we’ve made enhancing access to our website one of our top priorities,” said Illinois Tollway executive director Kristi Lafleur. “Now, our customers can easily check on their I-PASS balance and update their account information with a few taps on their mobile device.”
The Tollway plans on adding new features soon, such as the ability to order new transponders and add funds to I-Pass accounts using a mobile device.
