Infogin Questions Mobile Web Research

US analyst Molecular revealed last week that 26% of American adults would use their mobile phone or handheld device to access the Web if mobile web pages were easier to navigate. According to Molecular Executive Vice President Darryl T. Gehly:
The research indicates that consumers are ready for the mobile web, and marketers would be wise to focus on designing mobile web pages that are easy to use and engaging.
But Eran Wyler, CEO & Founder of web to mobile adaptation company InfoGin, disagrees. Wyler believes that the problem doesnt lie with the web sites, but with a missing link between the mobile networks, the web sites and the variety of different handsets that are in circulation.
Asking web developers to create special mobile versions of their sites with limited images and content is hugely time intensive and wont give consumers what they really want; it is simply a waste of resources, says Wyler.  “In the US, the mobile Internet is already taking off at an astounding pace, thanks to some of the worlds largest ISPs and mobile operators implementing network-level solutions. These solutions automatically adapt the original site to the mobile devices physical and functional capabilities, providing excellent content presentation on even the smallest mobile device, and resolving all the issues relating to slow loading pages, navigation and sites that dont work.”
InfoGin specialises in web-to-mobile content adaptation, enabling mobile users to access any content they desire, optimised to their mobile device, while offering a range of solutions which enhance the mobile surfing experience.
InfoGins flagship product, the Intelligent Mobile Platform (IMP), enables real-time optimal reformatting of web content to any mobile device, without compromising the webs richness or the device functionality. InfoGins platform offers a range of solutions, from a fully automatic intelligent conversion engine to content-editing and marketing tools that, the company says, enable full control over the delivered information.
