Iris Signs 15th Licensee

Fonetechnology has appointed Grupo Nobus as its exclusive licensee for Mexico for the  launch of its innovative IRIS camera system across the world. The IRIS camera is the first of its type to stream live video to mobile phones for security and entertainment purposes.
The addition of Grupo Nobus to Fonetechnologys network of global partners brings the total number of IRIS  territorial licenses to 15, the others being the UK, US, South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Brazil covering a footprint of over 500 million mobile users. In addition, Fonetechnology is in negotiation with a further 50 partners to licence IRIS.

Iris is the worlds first network-independent wireless standalone camera that sends live video to a mobile phone. It enables users to connect live to the IRIS colour camera from their mobile phone without the requirement for a PC, internet account, or any technical knowledge. IRIS works with 2.5G and 3G handsets. 
Fonetechnology is the joint venture between electrical distributor Bridisco and wireless multimedia company Pedagog.
