Using the Blippar app, fans can access exclusive videos of the pop group, and a competition to win signed CDs. There’s also a ‘meet the band’ feature, which enables users to take a picture with their JLS member of choice, which can then be shared via social media – and Sony is putting together a collage of all the photos tweeted to them.
“Engaging with the core JLS fan base was especially important on this record, their 4th studio album,” said Justin Cross, Head of Digital RCA Sony Music. “Blippar enabled us to reward the loyal fans with exclusive video interviews, competitions and engagement. So far the response has been fantastic on the interactions, and we will look to develop this as the campaign progresses.”
