Mobile Solutions Manager – Data Locator Group

Hours: Mon to Fri 9am -5:30pm (Full Time)

The Mobile Solutions Manager will be responsible for promoting, presenting and selling DLG’s mobile solutions to agencies and direct clients. The individual will be required to identify new opportunities from DLG’s existing clients as well as generating new “mobile first” clients.

Working with other DLG & PDV sales teams the individual will be able to propose innovative solutions to create incremental mobile revenue to the group.

The Mobile Solutions Manager will be responsible for their own P&L so experience managing both revenue and costs to hit targets is essential.

The division is focused on developing new mobile solutions so although the current mobile product portfolio includes the following it is not limited to this:

  • SMS
  • Rich Media Text Solutions (RMT)
  • M-gagement Insight Reports
  • Enhanced Display Targeting
  • Mobile landing pages

Key responsibilities

  • To contact new agencies and direct clients by telephone in order to sell targeted mobile media services provided by DLG. To build effective relationships with own clients in order to encourage repeat business
  • To follow the DLG consultative sales process by carrying out an appropriate fact find to help establish the client’s needs in order to needs match the most suitable mobile solution
  • To source new sales leads using the internet, trade press, business press, industry contacts and CRM system (adequate contact data will be supplied but it will be necessary to supplement this with your own activity)
  • To carry out intellectual client/market research to support efforts to identify DLG product and service opportunities
  • To manage the client’s expectations to ensure we deliver on our commitments to DLG agreed SLA’s
  • To update client information on the CRM system, Goldmine
  • To arrange and attend face-to-face client meetings for larger sales opportunities
  • To plan, create and deliver sales presentations
  • To manage and maintain weekly reporting activity against agreed KPI’s
  • To build relationships with new clients through corporate hospitality
  • To liaise with the Finance department to ensure that clients remain up to date with payments
  • To communicate with the production team, campaign management and design to ensure that solutions are met within the agreed timeframe
  • To handle all client queries and complaints swiftly and in accordance with the agreed company process
  • To carry out any other task as reasonably requested by the Head of Mobile

Key skills

  • Sales skills – a thorough understanding of the sales process
  • Proven consultative sales skills gained in a fast-paced B2B environment
  • Ability to communicate confidently with marketing professionals and build rapport (Media Planners, Marketing Managers, Account Managers etc)
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Computer literate in MS Word/PPT/Excel

Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven consultative sales experience gained in mobile media sales is essential
  • Proven sales experience gained in performance marketing
  • Experience selling targeted mobile media solutions to direct clients
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible sales approach, be proactive and work on own initiative
  • Ability to demonstrate creative solutions
  • Experience of working to and achieving challenging targets
  • A good interest and appreciation of current affairs and market trends
