Kiip Launches Rewarded Video

kiip-rewarded-videoKiip has launched Rewarded Video ads for its moments-targeting mobile advertising platform.

Kiip is focused on reaching users as they achieve something within an app, whether its finishing a level in a game or beating a personal best in a running app, traditionally with digital rewards such as coupons and virtual currency. With this launch, 15-second branded videos are added into to the mix, though its worth noting that rewards can also be included, or even offered as incentives for watching.

“We built a mobile video product that differs from what we saw across the industry,” said Kiip CEO Brian Wong. “It respects users and gives them the choice to engage with the video. Brands can reach mobile users during moments of happiness, when users are most receptive to brand messaging, instead of with impressions that lack the context necessary for meaningful engagement on mobile. With our moments targeting technology, brands can bring the right content, to the right user, at the right time.”

During beta trials with brands including McDonalds, Paramount Pictures and Trident, Kiip reports it saw an impressive average view-through rate of 77 percent.
