M-Coin Strikes Fon Deal

M-Coin, a carrier billing service owned by TIMWE, has signed a contract with wi-fi network Fon, to allow users to pay for internet access via mobile.

It’s an early success for M-Coin, which TIMWE launched as a carrier billing solution to differentiate from its portfolio of products and further strengthen its position in the mobile payments space.

M-Coin lets users make payments via mobile on both browser and mobile. The payment is either taken from the user’s pre-paid credit, or appears on their monthly mobile phone bill.

M-Coin can be used by developers and publishers for in-game and in-app monetization, and by online merchants for digital goods and digital services monetization. The solution is already being used by many leading mobile and web games publishers.
