Masterclassing Hits Barcelona

On Tuesday last week, we ran the latest of our Masterclassing events in Barcelona. Around 75 delegates attended the two Mobile Brand Masterclass events, and heard from speakers including SmartFocus, Nimbletank, Criteo, Urban Airship, Outbrain, Sizmek, and Phunware.

The keynote presentation at the morning event was delivered by Ferran Guell, CMO of leading online fashion retailer, Privalia, while Alex Vallbona, MD – Spain at omnichannel beauty products retailer Birchbox delivered the keynote to close the afternoon session.

Delegates included representatives from Alcon, Banc de Sabadell, Beiersdorf, CatalunyaCaixa, Deezer, , eDreams ODIGEO, Elsevier, Expo Hotels & Resorts, FC Barcelona, Fisher-Price, Gameloft, hungryhouse.co.uk, InterContinental Hotels Group, Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, Lidl, Mango, Marks & Spencer, Nordic Choice Hotels, Novartis, Rakuten, SuperDry, The Associated Press, Thomas Pink, Tiendeo, TotalChannel, Turisme de Barcelona, VeryChic, Vistaprint, Vueling Airlines, Zoopla Property Group, Zoosk and more.

“This is our third year of running Masterclass events in Barcelona and it was another great example of brands meeting mobile marketing and technology partners in an informal relaxed environment that helps to stimulate two-way discussion and knowledge exchange,” said Masterclassing COO, Melyni Bronson.

After the events, Masterclassing and Mobile Marketing Magazine jointly staged the third annual Mobile Marketing Mixer networking party, which saw around 500 attendees over the course of the evening. The party, sponsored by Esendex, SmartFocus, SpotXchange, Teads and Theorem, has established itself as one of the hottest tickets at one of the coolest venues – the Moritz Brewery – in town.

The half-day Masterclassing events are free for brand delegates to attend, subject to meeting certain seniority criteria. The next events in the Masterclassing calendar are Travel & Tourism in London on 17 March; Digital Brand in Chicago (24 March); Social Brand (Chicago, 24 March); Digital Brand in Dubai (14 April); Digital Travel & Tourism (Dubai, 15 April); Digital Brand & Non-profit (Washington, 16 April); Digital Agency (London, 28 April); Digital Fashion & Luxury (London, 28 April); Mobile Brand (New York, 28 April); and Digital Finance (New York, 28 April). There are also two events taking place in New York today, Social Brand, and Digital Fashion & Luxury.
