The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) has announced a new format for its annual event for the mobile content industry. MEF Global 2011: Mobile Content & Commerce will take place on 7 July in London. It will be preceded by the second annual MEF CEO Summit, which will take place at Altitude 360 in the Millbank Tower on 6 July.
The MEF's eighth annual awards, dubbed the Meffys, will close proceedings on 7 July. The organisation says that the conference will follow an "un-conference" format to make deal-making easier and to encourage debate. The show will feature 'lightning presentations' from leading industry verticals, covering topics such as routes to market, payment models, and social commerce.
MEF executive director Rimma Perelmuter says: "These two days will provide exceptional value for companies focused on the huge opportunity around mobile. Together with established MEF brands, including the MEF CEO Summit and the Meffys, this essential two-day gathering will facilitate focused deal-making and industry-shaping discussion for influencers from the worlds of brands, content, finance, mobility, retail and technology."
