Maskell is newest MD of CMA
Industry body CMA (Content Marketing Association) has named Catherine Maskell its new managing director.

Maskell replaces former MD Clare Hill, stepping down after four years to join Cannes Lions as director of marketing & brand.

Starting next month, Maskell is tasked with bringing agencies and brands closer together when it comes to creating digital content. She joins Reed Recruitment, itself a member of the CMA, where she was head of global marketing.

“I have an unwavering belief in the power of content marketing and have loved working with Matt, Clare and the wider team as a member of the CMA,” said Maskell. “Taking up the MD position is an exciting next step for me and I’m really looking forward to continuing Clare’s great work in leading the content marketing industry.”

Marketo adds Aggarwhal to board, Miller as CFO
Marketing automation firm Marketo has appointed a CFO and a new member to its board directors.

Reggie Aggarwal, founder and CEO of event management technology provider Cvent, joins the company’s board of directors.

Mark Miller has been named CFO, replacing Brian Kinion. Miller has over 20 years’ experience, most recently as CFO of Active Network, and before that at LHP Hospital Group, Sabre Holdings and GetThere.

At Marketo, he will be responsible for managing the company’s global financial operations, human resources, accounting, and tax functions.

Visual IQ  hires St Amand as CMO
Wayne St Amand has been appointed CMO of marketing intelligence company Visual IQ.

St Amand was formerly CMO of Brand Networks, a provider of cross-channel social media advertising solutions, as has also worked at Nasuni and Crimson Hexagon.

In his new role, St Amand will oversee Visual IQ’s global marketing strategy and work closely with sales leadership to help drive revenue growth.

BuzzFeed veteran strengthens Dose's West Coast presence
Aric Lapera has been named VP of West Coast operations at Dose, a Chicago-based digital content producer that uses predictive, data-driven technology to help brands reach audiences.

He joins from BuzzFeed, where he held the role of vice president of brand strategies. During his time at BuzzFeed, Lapera helped build partnerships with brands including Amazon, Google, T-Mobile and Visa.

Lapera’s CV also includes time at MySpace, CBS, Weather.com and Ziff Davis.

David&Goliath takes on four new creatives
LA-based agency David&Goliath has added four creative directors to its team.

Fernando Reis and Marcelo Padoca, who have been creative partners for a decade in their native Brazil, join from The Community. They will work on the agency’s Kia account, where they will be joined by fellow Brazilian Wilson Mateos, who comes from 180LA.

Raul Garcia joins as creative & art director, coming from a background working with Canadian agencies including Leo Burnett, Grey and Taxi. He will work with clients including California Lottery, Shine On Sierra Leone and the agency’s intern non-profit Today, I’m Brave.
