This festive season, mCommerce traffic will be double what it was in 2011, according to predictions from Shopatron – accounting for 25 per cent of web traffic.
Shopatron has seen its clients’ mobile traffic increase by 60 per cent year-on-year, double the growth in desktop traffic. Currently, mobile has peaked at 19 per cent of all traffic to these sites, but Shopatron anticipates it rising further in November and December.
“Brands that don’t provide a mobile shopping experience will lose sales this year,” said Shaun Moores, Shopatron VP of traffic and conversion. “And brands that offer rich mobile options will not only satisfy mobile shoppers, but will see the difference in their bottom line.”
